The Vienna School of Mathematics

is a joint doctoral school of the University of Vienna and TU Wien.

Our mission is to provide a top-level scientific training of doctoral students in all fields of mathematics and to foster a vibrant and supportive community for all these students. We are committed to offering clear structures and quality criteria and to ensure that our doctoral candidates receive the support they need to thrive.

The VSM is also intended to serve as a hub to attract outstanding mathematics students from across Europe and around the world to Vienna, guiding them towards research at the forefront of modern mathematics. By creating an exciting and dynamic scientific environment, we aim to inspire groundbreaking research and shape the next
generation of mathematical researchers.
